Old Pal Qualifier
Boyd and Maxwell
The first TDGA Old Pal Qualifier was held on May 13, 2009 at Highland Meadows Golf Country Club. A total of 64 teams were placed into four flights. The low eight teams of each flight will move into a season long match play event. The finals will be held with the Two Man Better Ball at Inverness in September. The one to four seeds in each flight will host the first round matches at their respective clubs.
Championship - C.Boyd & B. Maxwell - 66
A Flight - M. Faught & C. Rounds - 70
B Flight - T. & G. Langenderfer - 74
C Flight - D. Decker & F. Sheehan – 78
US Open Qualifier
Jeffrey Cuzzort
Forty players were playing for three spots
in the US Open Sectional Qualifier at Maumee Bay Golf Club
on May 18. Jeffrey Cuzzort of Detroit was the Medalist with 67.
Jamie Vigh and Mike Stone, both from
Toledo, shot 68 and 69 respectively to get the other two spots.
Good luck to all three as they try
to advance the US Open at Bethpage in June.
Two Man Scramble
K. Kornowa and J. Slade
On a balmy 80 degree May 20, the TDGA held their first event ever at the Monroe Country Club.
Gross Division : K. Kornowa and J. Slade won with a 63. They won over J. Ozuk and M. Faught in a scorecard playoff.
K. Kornowa and J. Slade
Net Division: J. Kusner and J. Poole won with a 57. They also won in a scorecard playoff over J. Montgomery and R. Kuncl.

Equitable Stroke Control (ESC) is a procedure whereby abnormally high individual hole scores are adjusted downward prior to the score being posted. ESC sets a maximum number that a golfer can post on any hole, depending on the golfer's Course Handicap (not his Handicap Index). Effective Feb. 1, 1998, individual hole scores will be adjusted for handicap purposes of the following table found here.
